Babouche Slippers Care Guide
An icon of Moroccan culture, Babouche Slippers have been an important element of the traditional dress code for centuries. Always a favourite at Bohemia, our range of leather slippers offer a contemporary twist on traditional design, with each pair entirely handmade in Marrakech.
Our leather babouche slippers are handcrafted using traditional techniques in our workshop just outside of Marrakech, Morocco. Made of the finest quality sheepskin, the leather is organically tanned and dyed by hand.
Minor flaws and imperfections are characteristics of these natural materials and traditional methods and only add to the unique beauty of our products.
Our Basic Babouche and Pointed Slippers have leather soles that are designed for indoor use on smooth, dry surfaces. They are not suitable for outdoor or poolside wear. The soft leather will last longer if treated sympathetically.
Our Berber Babouche Slippers have a leather upper and hard-wearing rubber sole which makes them suitable for both indoor and light outdoor wear. They also feature a heel that can be worn up or folded down.
How To Care For Your Leather Babouche Slippers
Clean your babouche slippers with a dry or slightly damp cloth, keeping use of water to an absolute minimum. If a cleaning product is needed, choose one specifically designed for leather.
Natural leather scent
The organic processing of the leathers may leave a residue of scent which is totally natural. When you receive your slippers, air them out and the scent will fade.
