Edinburgh Store | Crafty Goodness
Over the past few months we’ve been hosting an array of Sunday morning craft workshops here in our Edinburgh store. At Bohemia, we share a love of the handmade, so it only seemed right that we invite some talented local craftspeople to come and share their wisdom with us! Here’s how we got on...
To kick off the fun, Lotte from The Forhands Craft Collective taught two fantastic classes in wood whittling. Her students learnt to carve their very own wooden spoon or traditional Scandinavian smörkniv (butterknife).
Kirsty from Oh So Hygge teaches the knot-tying art of Macrame. By the end of the workshop, everyone came away with beautiful, unique wall-hangings!
The Brahmin Lettering Co.
Caitlin from Brahmin Lettering taught us an introduction to Calligraphy: Traditional techniques with a modern twist! What’s more, all participants took away their very own calligraphy kit to continue practicing at home!
The Squid Ink Co.
Weaving wonder Sarah, teaches an introduction to weaving on a handloom. In this fun and relaxed workshop, she talked us through all the basic techniques needed to make a colourful wall-hanging.
Lafafa
Last but by no means least, Agata from Lafafa is a specialist in organic soaps and cosmetics. Attendees of her Facial Oil and Mask-making workshop learnt which organic ingredients worked with their skin types and created a personalised oil and mask full of botanicals to take home with them!
Thank you to everyone who took part in our Spring Workshops! What a lovely bunch!
