Wood Tableware Care Guide
Bohemia's wooden tableware is handmade from walnut, olive and lemon wood. With contemporary, minimalist design, each piece is crafted by hand in a wood atelier in Morocco and is unique in the pattern and colour of its grain.
With a little care and attention, our wooden tableware should last a long time. The following tips will help keep your wooden wares at the best.
How To Care For Your Wooden Tableware
1. Each piece is hand carved with the wood bearing the character of its maker, and it may display slight marking. We believe this adds to the character of these artisanal objects.
2. Some of our wooden wares have a beeswax polish and others are untreated. If you would like to seal the wood, apply a linseed or vegetable oil with a soft cloth and buff for a light sheen.
3. To clean, wipe with a dry to lightly damp cloth and allow it to dry naturally. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher.
How To Seal Wooden Utensils
Our wooden kitchenware is natural and untreated. If you wish, you can use a linseed or vegetable oil to seal the wood which will provide lasting protection and give the wood a light sheen. Using a soft cloth, generously cover the clean dry wood with your chosen oil and leave to absorb for a few hours. Wipe away the excess and leave to dry.
